Lawyer at the E-Health Agency

The E-Health Agency is growing and receiving new assignments. We are now looking for lawyers to join our legal unit, which currently consists of 14 lawyers and a unit manager.

The legal unit will be part of a newly formed department starting January 1, 2026, which, in addition to the legal unit, includes the three units of security and preparedness, information management and procurement, as well as quality and regulatory compliance.

About the Position

The agency works with a large number of assignments focused on digitization and information exchange within health, care, and social services. The work as a lawyer at the agency involves complex legal issues of varying nature, primarily related to privacy law and IT law, including administrative law as well as public access and confidentiality. Furthermore, the work spans a wide range of legal areas, including health and medical law, medical technology regulations, public procurement, and preparedness issues as the agency is a preparedness authority.

The lawyers actively participate in the agency's assignments and provide advice and support to the entire organization on legal matters. This includes participating in investigations of various kinds and conducting legal research and analyses. The regulations in the area are dynamic, and the unit plays an important role in the development of law. You will work closely with the operations and in close collaboration with your colleagues in the legal unit. About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Law degree or equivalent (4.5 years)
• At least five years of experience in qualified legal work from a law firm, company, and/or authority (including region or municipality)
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience with privacy legislation
• Experience with relevant IT law regulations
• Experience working with medical technology regulations
• Experience with preparedness legislation and total defense law
• Good knowledge of administrative law and public access and confidentiality legislation.

We expect you to have a high level of security awareness and to be able to work according to the government’s values.

The employment is permanent with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. The place of employment is Stockholm or Kalmar. The work may involve business trips, primarily between the two locations.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. Therefore, we may need to conduct a security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). For some tasks in a security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
